Hello and welcome to my little corner, pull up a seat and I’ll pop the kettle on.

Here I will be hoping to post reviews and opinions of books along with possibly news and general bookish related info as I come across and/or experience it.

I decided to set this up after realising that my review ratio on Netgalley was abysmal and perhaps some sort of motivation was required to keep me plugging away through my approved books. I also just love to talk about books and this is possibly a healthier outlet than boring my poor friends and family to tears.

There is many a book blog out there already but hopefully mine can find a small audience and provide some help for the eternal question “what should I read next?”. I tend to read contemporary fiction as my go-to genre but have recently also started devouring YA, particularly of the fantasy variety which has, in fact, led me to expand my horizons into more adult fantasy (and sci-fi). Anyway, enough of all this – the kettle ought to be boiled by now and so it’s time to curl up with a book.

See you all soon! – Lesley

Currently Reading:

The Essex Serpent, Sarah Perry (Contemporary Fiction)

Furyborn, Claire Legrand (YA Fantasy)
